Elena, a bilingual clinical pharmacist fluent in Spanish, joined our South Sioux City clinic in the summer of 2024. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Creighton University. She provides patient-centered care for patients with diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and anticoagulation under collaborative practice agreement. She also provides medication management therapy and assists patients with their insulin pump and continuous glucose monitoring therapy. She is also responsible for the Pill Packaging Program through the SSC pharmacy.
She is a member of the American Diabetes Association, Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialist and American Pharmacists Association.
