Dr. Heather Stehr joined the Siouxland Community Health Center as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in November of 2018.
Born and raised in Northwest Iowa, Dr. Stehr completed her Masters of Science in Nursing Education in 2014, Post-Master’s Certificate as Family Nurse Practitioner in May 2018, and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in May 2020, all from Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa. She is a member of AANP and ANCC, and Sigma Theta Tau.
Certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Dr. Stehr welcomes patients of all ages. Additionally, Dr. Stehr serves as an assistant professor at Briar Cliff University in the graduate nursing department. In March 2020, Dr. Stehr was named Provider of the Year at Siouxland Community Health Center. Upon completion of her Doctorate of Nursing Practice, she was awarded the 2020 Award of Excellence in Recognition of Her Outstanding Practice Innovation Project, which was completed at the Siouxland Community Health Center. Dr. Stehr is a certified Medication Assisted Treatmeant (MAT) provider and practices MAT at the Siouxland Community Health Center.
