Megan Meyer joined the Siouxland Community Health Center as an advanced registered nurse practitioner in October of 2021. She practiced as a registered nurse at Siouxland OB/Gyn before returning to school, then graduated with her MSN with a specialty in family practice. She is a 2021 graduate from Chamberlain University and is board certified in family practice through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Megan also became a Certified Lactation Counselor in 2022.
She is available to help with whatever breastfeeding challenges you may face, we can help you gain confidence with issues including positioning, latch-on, and improving milk production. We offer private consultations in our office at any time in your breastfeeding journey.
Our lactation counselor can help with:
- positioning and latching challenges
- low milk supply
- coping with engorgement
- managing multiples
- education and assistance with using a breast pump
- assessment and management of breast and nipple problems (i.e. sore nipples, and breast pain)
- returning to work breastfeeding needs
In her spare time, Megan enjoys spending time with her family, her husband, their twin children by going on walks and playing at the park. She also likes to play in a women’s volleyball league and make crafts.
