Dr. Michael Piplani started at SCHC in 2014 as the Chief Medical Officer. In addition to his administrative role as CMO, he sees patients at SCHC. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is active in all areas of care with the exception of obstetrics. He also practices acupuncture. He is a member of the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture.
Dr. Piplani received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and graduated from Albany Medical College as a Doctor of Medicine with Distinction in Research. He completed his residency at Albany Medical Center in the Department of Family Practice. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Iowa Academy of Family Physicians.
